Charlotte’s First Solar Neighborhood
- Neighborhood: ReAlta
- Problem: The need for a contemporary exterior look
- Solution: Installing Aesthetically Pleasing, yet Low Maintenance James Hardie Siding
- Materials: James Hardie Artisan V-Groove Fiber Cement Siding and Nichiha
With Charlotte’s first Solar Neighborhood coming to life, TruGuard proved to be the perfect contractor to install the contemporary exterior look.
Chelsea Buidling Group is known for building beautifully detailed, classically different, mechanically and structurally superior homes. They build the homes of tomorrow, today. And they do so without compromising design. In fact, not only do ReAlta homes incorporate solar power and home automation, they also embody contemporary architecture rarely seen on the east coast.
Cheslea Building Group approached TruGuard, looking for a contemporary exterior cladding that fit with their building techniques (in this case, low maintenance). James Hardie Artisan V-Groove and Nichiha VintageWood Fiber Cement immediately came to mind.
The Artisan V-Groove is pre-primed and painted on site to fit with one of the pre-selected color palettes. The VintageWood on the other hand, comes in two pre-finished colors that mimic the natural beauty and texture of real wood without the maintenance requirements. Whatever your aesthetic needs, TruGuard can offer a variety of cladding solutions for your remodel or new construction home.
“Over the course of two decades I have been on a constant pursuit for competent, qualified subcontractors who hold the same values and exhibit the same character and quality that we expect of our employees. I can say without reservation that my search in the exteriors category has ended with TruGuard.
We recently began construction on a new neighborhood (ReAlta) in the Charlotte area. ReAlta is the first Solar Neighborhood in Charlotte and has some of the most forward thinking design aspects ever seen in this market. Many of the complex design aspects are found in the exterior finishes.
We were looking for exterior products that were modern in appearance and also had ‘low maintenance’ qualities. We decided to use the James Hardie Artisan Rustic V-Groove and the Nichiha Vintage Wood product. Both products are new to the Charlotte area and are extremely difficult to install properly. TruGuard took painstaking steps to ensure these products were installed correctly the first time and will stand the test of time. The finished product and the quality of install are unique, beautiful and have made our homes truly stand out. In my opinion, no other exteriors company could have performed with such precision. I wouldn’t trust any other company to handle this type of project.”
